Ice Dragons are fierce predators who hunt using their extremely cold breath. The breath of an ice dragon can freeze its prey solid in seconds. The body of an ice dragon is so cold that icicles will form along its skin no matter the outside temperature.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

FrostySwish is an Ice dragon. As an egg, his owner soon realized that her latest prize had to be kept somewhere extremely cold, and for the lack of a better place, put it in the icebox that was used to preserve perishable food. Some days later, a furious series of thuds from inside the box informed everyone that the egg had hatched. The hatchling was covered with icicles, and refused to emerge from the icebox until some of the Winter dragons cooled down the temperature of the cave. Once he was enticed outside, he never looked back. Bright and enthusiastic, he enjoys speaking to the cave elders as well as the young hatchlings. He also has a strange liking for shiny chips of crystal and ice, a large amount of which he keeps in his lair, often placing them near the entrance so that the light reflects off them in multi coloured flecks. Strangely enough, the ice never melts.
