Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It enjoys playing in the wind, and is quite competitive.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Compared to most of the other hatchlings in the Forsaken Ridge daycare, Aether-Or is skilled in many things (not least of which is gliding and reading wind patterns, of course), but she has performance anxiety. As soon as she notices someone is watching or someone asks her to show off her talent, she plonks her bum on the ground and doesn't budge until they turn around. While the others are happy playing games with each other and don't wish to grow up any time soon, Aether-Or can't wait until she develops better control of magic and grows old enough to go to the library on her own and study. She's also the only child who happily does her chores as the adults ask. She's even built a broom-duster device with straps to help sweep out the caves faster and will gladly demonstrate how to use it if the viewer promises to turn around.
