Neotropical Dragons are a breed that originate in rainforests. They are fun-loving and enjoy lounging on tree branches, eating whatever fruit they find. They are also often found sunning themselves on rocks, using their large wings to soak up the rays. In the summer, males compete for mates by showing off their striped wings and gliding in spirals down the tree trunks. It is said that the larger the wings, the more likely the male will attract a suitable mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Leena's family has never been known for showing emotion, not since the days when Tesky was youthful and happy. Her mother was the most emotional of them, vaguely passing that on to her daughters so they wouldn't be walking chunks of cold marble.

But then again, now Leena has experienced the cold life of being a Creor for herself. She was kidnapped, along with Kaustie, by Creorluna when she was a mere hatchling. Maybe if she'd been a little happier before, she'd have been able to hold onto that little tinge of individuality, like Kaustie had. But the biting tortures have done their job.

Long ago, Leena tucked away everything that mattered to her, every original thought or memory, and buried it deep within herself.

She truly doesn't know herself. What she likes, what she dislikes, nothing. She can't afford to. She must only follow orders or else more pain. And, if she knows one thing about herself, she knows she doesn't like pain.
