Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Raised in a family with three older sisters, Swiftstreak sometimes has a hard time getting along with other male dragons. He isn't too bothered by it, though, as he inherited his father's charisma and eagerness to charm the lady dragons. When not practicing his own version of his dad's signature "smolder" look or trying the expression out on one of his "adoring public" (his words), he can most likely be found traipsing through the countryside hunting for shiny treasures. His escapades often earn him a talking-to from the royal guards for "tracking mud into the throne cave" or "attempting to run off with a nobledragon's daughter" (and sometimes even both things at once). He never seems to get into too much trouble, save for the occasional irate father or brother who chases him away from his latest lady love. In the rare event things get too dicey, luckily he's quick enough to get away.
