Failed attempts to experiment with magic often result in transforming dragons into these hellish creatures. They are extremely dangerous, and will mindlessly kill any living creature without regard to friend or foe.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Experiment Zero is as its name suggests: an experiment. Originally known as Aaronius Dorkfaceson, Experiment Zero was slain by his father's official mate for being a bastard—born not of her womb—and a threat to her legacy. In an attempt to revive him, magic was used; however, instead of returning him to his former glory, it mutated him into... THIS undead monstrosity: a zombie. Other dragons stay away from its resting place, and none dare approach its general vicinity when awoken. All caution is taken to avoid its rotting gaze.

Experiment Zero was a mistake.
