Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has no legs, and the end of its tail is a bright red.

And look! It’s grown more red frills along its back and sides.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Robot Spaghetti resides in a cave with her best friend, a brute she calls Lexy. He shares his scraps and bed with her and allows her to read his scrolls and essays. When she had no one, Lexy became her someone. He chases away all intruders to his land and keeps Robot Spaghetti safe. He is a much better caretaker than the jerks who abandoned her. Although Lexy doesn't know Robot Spaghetti exists and would probably eat her if he did, she feels that doesn't preclude them being best friends.
