Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Tin Pan Alley bangs on discarded containers and cook-pots with sticks and calls it music. This is not necessarily a bad way to play; many people like his style and some musically inclined dragons join him in songwriting and improvisation. TPA is a shy little guy who seldom shares his thoughts except when discussing music. He'd rather play his instruments to people (sometimes at them) than talk.
