Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

To strangers, Surugem comes across as an intelligent, charismatic and amiable character. Despite being an adult dragon, he retains several noticeably child-like qualities: a love of play, a sense of genuine wonder, an optimistic enthusiasm for everything he does and a gaping lack of empathy. Practically anything can interest him—the glow of sunset framing a mountain, patterns in the lazily rising smoke from a city on fire, it makes little difference.
If you want a watered-down idea of how Surugem's mind works, imagine a person who, suddenly wanting a splinter of wood for no reason, would patiently dig through the wall of a carpenter's home, break his legs, steal a splinter from the ground, then walk away from the ruin with his souvenir and see nothing wrong with this picture.
However, Surugem is certainly not evil, whatever else you can say about him. Evil would have required some kind of moral compass to begin with.
