Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Once upon a time, a traveler "found" a beautiful stripy egg in a cave in the mountains. She definitely found it abandoned, no need to ask questions. Shortly after she took it home, it hatched into a stripy baby dragon. His festive red and white fur gave off a magical glow, so the lady named him Guardian Man. The name Guardian means "Guardian" and Man means "Man", and it was chosen because of the dragon's candy cane stripes and enchanting appearance, says Mom. She lives by herself in her house, so she raised Guardian Man herself. Over the years, he grew to be a crafty and curious yulebuck, and when he was too big to fit through the archway of Mom's house, he was ready to join others of his kind. He was missing a lot of survival skills due to being raised by a human, but he learns quickly and has some choice things to say to those who try to talk down to him. When meeting new people, he always introduces himself the way Mom did, by saying his name and helpfully translating it.
