Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It doesn’t seem to like the attention its shininess attracts, but it loves shiny things.

And look! With its new scales, it’s even shinier! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Anchor Shot's favorite thing that belongs to her is an anchor. The thing is vaguely clover-shaped with three teeth, and it weighs more than twice she does. It's possibly the only thing that wasn't stolen, since she had dragged it from the bottom of a lakebed from a sunken boat using only light crystals, a plank, and her own strength. Anchor Shot sleeps curled around the anchor's stem, and every month, she drapes new weeds over the curved arms to give it a nice, lively look. In the future when her magic is more powerful and more precise, she plans to use the anchor as a weapon. What a sight a swinging anchor would be!
