Ice Dragons are fierce predators who hunt using their extremely cold breath. The breath of an ice dragon can freeze its prey solid in seconds. The body of an ice dragon is so cold that icicles will form along its skin no matter the outside temperature.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Playbill loves attending the local human theatre and viewing whatever act they have on that week and then collecting and preserving the play pamphlets after each show. His frozen cave has stacks of such papers, all carefully kept crease- and smudge-free. He goes to that town so often that the humans now have a circular spot reserved for him whenever he visits. It's a nice gesture to both the dragon and other audience members, since they don't like sitting too close to him for fear of getting frostbite. Playbill is especially excited when the theatre-master announces that the next show involves many instances of humorous or clever language use. He loves a good play on words.
