Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

u.EXE is an eccentric. She and 9G Bot are constantly making odd things that invariably don't work out of odd bits of metal and such. While Bot builds the large parts, .EXE tries to make some sort of incredibly complex little gizmo to put in—the function of which usually turns out to be randomly lighting on fire, regardless of what .EXE thinks it should do. While most blacks are scarred from fighting other dragons, .EXE's scars almost all come from these projects. Fortunately, she and Bot live in the northwestern wilderness, where no reasonable dragon bothers venturing, so none have to deal with him. There is a good chance she and her mate have blown themselves up by now, though none have bothered to check recently.

The story goes when that even back when .EXE was closer to Nworset City, she and Bot were awful conversationalists. They had only a handful of things they would say, and would repeat them verbatim.
