Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Juliane is an utterly talentless musician and yet she wants nothing more than to join the Moonsilver Artists' Association. Her voice is quite passable, and she tries to get her own following among the humans by simultaneously projecting the texts of MAA songs into their minds in the local human dialects. Many humans are grateful because they get access to art in a way that wouldn't be possible otherwise for them. The humans love Juliane. The dragons are thoroughly unimpressed by her, though.
