Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Far to the East, there is a beautiful city called Lemar, where once a year the local population of Ribbon Dancers emerges to engage in elaborate and beautiful courtship dances. The greatest dancer among them is known simply as the Graceful Dancing Tinsel of Lemar, whose aerial prowess and agility are unrivaled. Years ago, on a lovely winter morning, one of this dragon's many daughters took to the skies for her first dance. Several hours later seven Dancers were injured, three people were dead, two houses had been crushed beyond repair, half a forest had been demolished and the town was on fire. Once most of the damage was contained, the dragon behind it was branded the Clumsy Dancing Tinsel of Lemar, a cruel parody of her mother's name. She now spends her days in exile at the peak of an isolated mountain, where her hideous lack of coordination hopefully won't be able to hurt any more people.
