Antarean Dragons are peaceful creatures shrouded in mystery. They are primarily found in the desert where they get most of their energy from sunbathing. Their most notable traits are their highly reflective manes and the mysterious light emitted by their scales which fades from bright, nearly blinding yellow-white into dim red as the dragons get older. Legend claims that they are otherworldly beings that came to this world when a meteor struck.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Mated to a loving female called Light Desert, Mane Desert is quite happy with his life.

He enjoys lying with her in the sun or in the shade of night and listening to her breathe next to him. Grooming her while she relaxes just adds to his happiness.

Mane Desert feels no negative feelings towards the humans that sometimes find them while they relax in the sun and has never had a reason to think anything bad of them. He even lets human young come and stroke his mane, not caring about the little pull young always seem to have.
