Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Saffron Sunstone is named after her great-great-great grandmother, Saffron Ryuuri. When Saffron hatched, she thought nothing in the world would could going wrong for her. She was blessed with a doting mother and father, amazing beauty, an equally beautiful best friend, the daydream dragon Hatsuyume Kokoro, and gendered to become one of the few precious females, she thought everything was going her way. That was until the DragonLady suggested an arranged marriage between one of her favorite water dragons and Saffron to Saffron's parents. To Saffron's horror her parents accepted it. Reaching adulthood, Saffron became mates with Kenn with high hopes, only to have them bashed. She did get her desired little ones, but her mate never looked at her deeper than face value. Now, Saffron can only truly express herself to her best friend Hatsuyume and her little ones.
