Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Like the egg it hatched from, it is a very shiny gold.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Her childish lack of comprehension about the world around her leaves Temme appearing immature to her surroundings, yet most find her simple mind endearing. Christmas being her favourite time of year, Temme will camp out in the snowy bushes for hours, waiting for the second, the precious moment where the Christmas dragons will fly overhead and return to the land for another year. After that comes stockings and decorations, as Temme will coat the cave in Christmas spirit, leaving tinsel and ribbon scattered behind her hastily trodden footprints. While the Christmas she mixed up ivy and poison ivy was hazardous, she tends to do an amazing job, transferring the bleak and dusty walls into a winter wonderland. Of course, the older dragons who feel they have dignity and respect due to them indignantly protest about the costumes she nearly forces them to wear, but nobody can resist those pleading eyes.
