Neotropical Dragons are a breed that originate in rainforests. They are fun-loving and enjoy lounging on tree branches, eating whatever fruit they find. They are also often found sunning themselves on rocks, using their large wings to soak up the rays. In the summer, males compete for mates by showing off their striped wings and gliding in spirals down the tree trunks. It is said that the larger the wings, the more likely the male will attract a suitable mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Some like tourists, some hate tourists, but Plantain Banana thinks that tourists are ecologically important. He has done extensive surveys of the Madder Jungle and surrounding areas and found an inverse correlation between tourists and logging: the more tourists in a given area, the less logging and agriculture. He has seen vast acreage of sugar cane and oil palm, which horrifies him. The oil palm he understands—it can be used to make scale-shine for luminae and other egomaniacs—but the sugar cane confounds him. People tell him it's a food product, but a food product not based on bananas is unfathomable! He wants to protect the world from such horrors, so he is working to develop a strategy using tourism pamphlets to lure in tourists and drive away loggers and agriculturists. The tourists will pay locals for directions and walks through the forest, which should stop them from evolving into loggers.

Plantain Banana won the title "Shugurgild" after Banana Cruz proposed it for a vote.
