Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its eyes glow brightly at night, and it enjoys attacking insects and small animals.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This curious little hatchling daily proclaims how it would make the perfect drink for anyone. Any person who takes it up on that is thoroughly examined, but is then invariably given a cupful of liquid that is almost, but not quite, entirely unlike tea. Despite protests that it is most likely poison and they couldn't possibly drink the substance, people who decide to test the hatchling's presumed skill are always delivered the same liquid day after day until they drink it or go insane from annoyance. If there are any complaints, the hatchling simply responds that the drink was exactly what the person in question was craving and asks them why anyone would like boiled water with dried leaves in it.
