Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A large and secretive dragon, Fearful Angel hardly shares her thoughts with anyone. She is a skilled ambush hunter who doesn't discriminate when it comes to choice of food: she dines on any sizable creature she can catch, and she may decorate her cave-front with the latest batch of cleaned bones and other inedible bits. These would make Fearful Angel a terrifying dragon that one should avoid, but if her meal has a chance to ask her not to kill it and gives a reason, she lets it go. It seems what kind of reason given doesn't matter as long as the target says something coherent. Around mid- to late-December, the decorations outside her cave are arranged in festive shapes such as reindeer and baubles.
