Magma Dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, although they require surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Obsidell Mystal PillarCall (Clan Mystal) was born into the clan cave as its 137th dragon, the offspring of a fertile and prolific pairing of Clan Mystal dragons. While her two elder Red brothers remain within the clan cave, her elder Magma sister ventured forth to join the ranks of a neighboring clan as a gift from their parents. In most ways, she follows in the footsteps of her maternal line, and prefers the fiery depths beneath the clan cave, and although her brothers have great fondness for her, they tend to remain distant and afford her a wide berth. She spends most of her time at her mothers side, tending to the ebb and flow of the lava that sustains the warmth in the nooks and crannies of the clan cave above. Much to her mothers dismay, she likes to force small pillars of the steamy goo up through cracks until they break the surface and spill out onto the ground. Though she ensures no real harm results from her tiny game, it causes endless distress to those who bear witness.
