Mimic Pygmies seem quite harmless during the day with their impish grins. However, at dusk they show their true nature, drawing on Death mana to imitate the voices of the dead, using their mimicry to lure the unsuspecting into an ambush. Once drawn into the circle of their colony, Mimic dragons will attack in a swarm, disabling their victim then settling down to lap up the welling blood from their still-living prey.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pygmy dragons are the smallest category of dragons, being on the same scale as domesticated animals. They are often found around concentrated populations of dragons, relying on their larger brethren to ward away potential predators and leave scraps. As such, the majority of a pygmy’s diet is scavenged. Due to their tiny size, pygmies do not breed with larger varieties of dragons.

User Description

skiNq was rather distressed at finding herself separated from her colony after a magical mishap. After wandering around panicked, she eventually crawled into a taxidermied bear to sleep. When she awoke, a bandit was threatening the taxidermist who owned the stuffed bear. skiNq decided to roar to make it seem like the bear was alive, which sent the bandit fleeing for his life. The taxidermist practically fainted too, but when he discovered the little mimic behind the scare, he was thankful. The bandits had been regularly robbing him at sword-point, so feeding skiN blood from the carcasses he was preparing to mount was the least he could do.

Nowadays, skiN lives in the taxidermy shop, drinking the blood of whatever animals are brought in to be mounted and using the sounds of the animals on display to scare off any who would wish ill on the taxidermy shop or its owner.
