Pargulus Pygmies can often be found tending to plants and foraging for food. They like to care for other living things, be it plant or animal, and will often leave the food from their foraging trips outside the dens of those who need it or even just those they think could use a treat. These colorful little dragons are especially attentive to anyone who might be struggling to find food themselves, such as the elderly, the sick, or the very young. Pargulus pygmies have a surprisingly large range considering their small size. They have been known to travel far and wide to find food to bring back to their friends.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Seedbed is one of the Water Peons of the Ummer noble family, which is to say they are nobles but not noble. That's a thought that he and the other Water Peons keep to themselves because they would be punished for criticizing their masters. Every worker tends to learn quickly what each family member hates. Seedbed used to hiss without thinking when startled, but he taught himself to suppress it, especially around Goupi Ummer, because he kept getting swatted for showing disrespect. He spends much of his work time watering the gardens and checking on the condition of the crops. On some days, he also has to bring water to injured members of the family when they fail to take the throne of Crule. For some reason, a lot of dragons here want to rule the land, but the process sounds like a lot of trouble, and Seedbed can't imagine what that could accomplish since the current ruler is doing a pretty decent job.
