Sunbeam Drakes are the diurnal counterparts to Moonglow Drakes, their eggs having been laid during the daylight hours. They are around the size of a small dog, and while docile, can be flighty and easily startled. Most can be found high in treetops enjoying the bright sunlight, tucking themselves away at the first sign of a storm or impending nightfall. Sunbeam Drakes enjoy flying in the light of the sun, and their treetop dances are beautiful, dazzling, and serene.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Her birth mired in a fog of blackmail and toxin, it's unsurprising that Tossica was heavily affected by the actions of her parents. It surprised everyone when Tossicas mother took a mate much less became a mother.

However decades of exposure to lethal chemicals and curses had taken a toll on Soriton...or rather her daughter. Tossica was born with one wing and one eye. Such a deformity was a death sentence in Creorluna. Izdati's decree proclaimed that any such hatchling should be killed upon birth.

Yet her normally impassive mother stole her daughter, telling anyone who asked that she was born dead. Only her mate, alt knew the truth.

After a good many new moons, Alt managed to convince Soriton that Tossica would never survive without proper treatment. With a heavy heart, Soriton agreed to let Alt take her beloved daughter to his old second-in-command, Chantage. It took some convincing but Chantage finally agreed to take Tossica in and raise Tossica as her own.
