Dark green dragons, once they mature, appear to become an entirely different species. However, this isn’t true. Rather, they burrow underground and get nutrients from their vines. These vines are sometimes referred to as Dragon Grass. These dragons are very violent, and will use their vines to capture, kill, and eat anything that moves, as well as nearby plants. Luckily, their range is limited and they cannot use magic. Dark green dragons tend to be easy to spot since they usually kill all plants around them and thus are usually surrounded by a large clearing.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Seguchi Tohma has been a loner most of his life. He has killed pretty much everything that came into reach. Even Tsume almost fell victim to him when she was a hatchling, if it hadn't been for her mother. The scars she left made him stop seriously attacking other dragons, but didn't stop him from snapping if one came to close. So most dragons didn't dare to go near him. Except for Hisoka, who couldn't resist to take a peek. Tohma, who was sleeping at the time, woke up when he felt something approach. He lashed out, but was a little shocked when he saw Hisoka quietly staring at him. She smiled at him and didn't seem scared at all. Which was new to him. He tried to ignore her, but when she started to talk to him, he started answering without realizing it. It was the first time he was comfortable with someone and it felt pretty good. Not long after they got a daughter, but although he cares for both of them deeply, he still has an hard time letting others get close to him.
