Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Apocalyptic Cello Mystic was born to the cello, having heard his mother's playing from within his embryonic mist.  With his father's mystical background, and his education at the Verdant School for Hatchlings, he raises the music to a highly spiritual intensity, sometimes playing for Inkjet's fire dance performances, sometimes playing for an evening at the fire pit gatherings of one of the local weyrs.  He also teaches music at Verdant, completing the cycle of student and teacher, and loves to peruse Dani'el's collection of ancient and modern songs and lore of the dragon lands.  He also hopes that at least one of his beloved children will show his inherent love for the cello.
