Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has bright blue eyes, and is as clumsy as any other hatchling, but it never seems to get injured.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Only daughter to Shirube and Sister Rena. Ellis has many brothers, out of which Kino Marth is the only one she has ever known. She is a very selfless dragon, but does not share the amazing intelligence of her elder brother. Like Marth, Ellis suffers of Frozen Blood Disorder, and will never grow up. She doesn't realize this is abnormal and looks up to the adult dragons, wondering how they became so huge.

Like Marth, who constantly tries to shield their mother from harm, Ellis has the urge to do something in order to protect their father. She will use her healing magic in attempts to straighten every dent in Shirube's tail-shield, and if she can recover every single bruise he has, it would make her extremely happy. Strangely enough, Ellis does not have this irrestistable urge to heal when it comes to her mother or her brother.
