Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Male Silvers hunt and eat meat. While not as beautiful or radiant as females, silver males possess better physical attributes, such as strength.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Rose Eros loves to engage in an activity that involves rearranging letters in words or phrases to make new words or phrases. He's not sure if this little game has a name. (He likes playing with words, but he doesn't think he's that smart when it comes to knowing lots of words.) In particular, Rose likes to switch letters around in other people's given names and pretend to draw meaning from these new phrases. He becomes distressed when he can't find any words or if none of the multi-word arrangements he finds makes any sense together. Occasionally, the word switches Rose invents sound like nonsense to others but pleases him greatly—perhaps an inside joke. For instance, he rearranged his mother's name and came up with "Herk Soars", whatever that means. He also came up with "Herk Or Ass", whatever THAT means.
