Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It likes to play in small piles of sand.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

As a very young hatchling, strangers may think that this little dragon would actually be cute and cuddly towards them.

Unfortunately, that is not the case. This hatchling has been alive for many, many years, cursed with eternal youth. Other beings with the same problem would not view it as such a negative thing, but this dragon has quite the bitter and grumpy attitude. It yells and shrieks and just makes such a big fuss when someone tries to give affection to it.

For one reason or another, during it's time living and wandering as a youth the hatchling has gained a weird aversion towards buckets of all things. This can confuse anyone who is trying to clean up a mess and is suddenly confronted by the blue dragon. They then have to deal with loud shrieking and horrendous language unfit for such a small dragon directed towards them, the bucket kicked into the garbage or thrown off a nearby cliff.
