Garland Dragons are a welcome sight in the skies during the holiday season. Their slightly luminous scales shine softly at night or catch the day’s sunbeams as they turn loops and spirals in the sky. They will often drape themselves around tall pine trees or along rooflines, adding a festive note to the winter scenery. Occasionally they drop red mana berries from their garland-like mane, which offer a comforting warmth to those that find them.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pno's name is short for something, but apparently, her parents were "too busy" to think of more letters. Her parents were one of those couples who met during a mating season and didn't stay together after she was born, and she doesn't know where either of them went after she left her mother, traveling to another administrative district. Pno lives a comfortable life in a house that humans would call derelict and buggy, but it's good enough for her, and she has more than enough time to hunt for food and mana. She doesn't know what else to do with herself and doesn't have friends, so she just lies around thinking about nothing. If she knew where her parents went, she could ask them what they're busy with, and maybe she could be busy, too.
