Baikala Dragons are mysterious beasts that inhabit the lesser-known depths of deep lakes and oceans. These exceptional swimmers actively hunt whatever live prey has the misfortune to draw near, and have even been known to breach in order to snag low-flying prey directly out of the air. Though it is unknown exactly how intelligent Baikala are, they are exceptional strategists and problem solvers. Their two heads seem to think and behave as one.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Two-headed dragons are unique enough to deserve a separate classification from ordinary dragons. They have two necks, two brains, two mouths, but one stomach and one main body. The two heads usually work together, but there are times when they will fight each other, snapping back and forth. Their unique anatomy prevents them from breeding with single-headed dragons.

User Description

Galkra's egg was stolen by bandits and sold to pirates at a seaside black market. Though she was considered the Captain's dragon, she was raised by all the pirates in the fleet--called the Silvers--in the cove of a hidden island, who named her after a mythological beast that was said to roam those waters long ago.

She wears a harness with the Silvers' insignia for no reason except identification, and though she rarely speaks, she is very intelligent and likes to laugh at crude jokes. For the most part she is like the pirates in heart and mind and helps them destroy enemy ships in battle, hence her title as the Ship-Eater; however, while she does not pity most enemies, she will hesitate to fight fellow Baikalas. She's helped the Silvers prosper for generations and has been friends with one Captain after the other. They do not refer to her as a dragon, but as a leviathan.

The only time she is apart from the Silvers is when she tends to her eggs in the cove she was raised in.
