Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Very majestic and bizarre, none of the dragons in the cave, not even his mates, have conversed with Voodoo Reya Shimmer. He can usually be found perched alone atop the cave in an unyielding daze. Some of the dragons have noticed that he has an affinity for the sound of drums. Many days when nearing his resting place, one can hear the faint sound of drums and behold a soft smile upon his gold face.
