Sunrise Dragons are closely related to sunset dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunrise Dragons prefer to live in large groups and enjoy basking in the early morning sun. They are usually most active in the morning, and go to sleep in the early evening.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Speck always gets up before a sunrise and flies quite a distance towards the sun, before the first rays of sunlight reach his eyes. After the sun has begun to rise, he will slowly rise with it, always making a dark blur for other dragons. Though it is not his intention to annoy anyone, he is often shouted at for blocking the view of the sun.

After greeting the sun and bathing in her rays, Speck feels rejuvenated and ready for another glorious day. He usually goes hunting during the day, but strangely enough, loves to come back to the sun when it is setting. Many Sunset dragons have seen this strange behavior, but understood the craving to see this glorious sight. But Speck cannot stay the whole time and usually goes to his cave to sleep after a few minutes of watching.
