And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Little Faxyha has always been too adventurous and curious for her own sake. It didn't take much time until she got herself into big trouble—visiting an Ice dragon's cave and getting on his nerves, led her to her frozen state. It seems she will forever be a child getting into trouble. It's a good thing there is a dragon, that shows concern for her health—a Guardian dragon named Qumazi that saved her when she almost fell off a steep cliff. It would have meant her demise, because then she didn't have wings. But she is safe and healthy and will be so forevermore, because of Qumazi's protection.
