Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Who, how, what, where and why were the defining words of Plymio's childhood. There was one in every sentence, questioning every single tiny detail right down to the core. At first the Clans shrugged it off as a child thing, but as he matured, they began to realize if they didn't do something, they'd be up all night trying to explain to him why they needed to get a good night's sleep and not stay up until three in the morning answering a hatchling's questions. Then one innocent comment changed it all. "I'll eat all your question marks if you don't shut up." After pondering for a while about what question marks would taste like, Plymio had a moment of inspiration. He would save question marks from their doom! Every time a description's written, or a question asked, Plymio will swoop down and steal the question mark, keeping it in his lair the way other dragons hoard gold. Though he sees himself as the question mark saviour, he is known amongst the Clans as the 'Mark Bandit'.
