Considered heralds of ill fortune, Omen Wyrms are usually found in areas previously ravaged by disaster or strife, blending in amongst the foliage. Due to the unique appearance and texture of their bodies, they often pass as dead trees as they wait for unsuspecting prey. Their haunting cry—like that of a hollow-sounding horn—is a sure signal to run: it is always followed by the dragons’ furious wrath, which manifests in the form of fiery cascades. Escape from an Omen Wyrm is possible, however; it is said they will not dare follow their quarry across running water, no matter the cause of their vexation.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Wieners is not the smartest or handsomest Omen Wyrm around here, and his appearance is something he used to be self-conscious about. When he was younger, other dragons would tell him he actually looks rather pretty and soft, and he doesn't instill a sense of dread in the same way other Omens do. How insulting! He would have their heads if he could catch them, and if they could stop hopping over those streams and rivers. They still say this of him, and over time, he found himself caring less and less about his reputation. There's a very strange Floret who would try to flutter near Wieners and chat with him. He's glad his attempts to catch and eat her didn't work, because now, despite being a vegetarian, she sometimes brings him sausages. He never told anyone his favorite food, so the gift is a pleasant surprise, but he's confused why he's getting presents.
