Antarean Dragons are peaceful creatures shrouded in mystery. They are primarily found in the desert where they get most of their energy from sunbathing. Their most notable traits are their highly reflective manes and the mysterious light emitted by their scales which fades from bright, nearly blinding yellow-white into dim red as the dragons get older. Legend claims that they are otherworldly beings that came to this world when a meteor struck.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Tamamushi likes to observe colorful beetles. Sometimes when she is out sunbathing in the desert sands, she will see a beetle with brightly-colored wings land nearby and scuttle around. She will watch it until it flies away or otherwise leaves her sight, and then come up with a story about the beetle and its friends and family. Her favorite beetle so far is a shiny green with white spots. She named him Frank and decided that he is secretly a powerful wizard in disguise, searching for buried treasure.
