Valentine eggs are only seen once a year. Adults’ mating seasons are very short, usually spanning a few weeks in the mid-to-late winter. These dragons were once reputed to be omens of good luck in love.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Valentine Curry cannot fly due to a left wing injury that resulted in necrosis of the membrane. She isn't magically skilled enough to reliably power flight with mana, so she remains on the ground. Though she has never quite overcome her fear of fire and occasionally relives the event in her dreams, she has long forgiven the individuals responsible. Valentine's limited mobility has never stopped her from traveling the region and visiting people (dragons and humans alike). She simply walks or hitches a ride on someone, and there are many "someone"s who are happy to help her, including her many copper and valentine kin. She is bright and bouncy, and while she tries to be honest with people without offering too much information, she makes no effort to hide her wing and will freely tell them about it if they ask.
