Sapphire Dragons were so named for their brilliant blue-green color, which is reminiscent of the gemstone. This breed was historically hunted for their scales; even long after, they remain distrustful of humans. Normally a Sapphire is not very aggressive, but they will defend themselves vigorously if under attack. Their diet consists mainly of fruit, with smaller portions of large insects and other invertebrates. Males woo females with vocalizations similar to bird songs. Sapphire Dragons are very loyal to their mates, and it is not unusual that they pair for life.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Living in a big city, qT0NE has to deal with many of the problems of city life, and for him, restaurants are one of these. He is deathly allergic to peanuts, and not everyone takes him seriously when he tells them how important it is that he avoid them. That's why he got Retriviv. He used to go home with his oboe after concerts to avoid the risk of contaminated food, but with the vreyma at his side, he can now go out with the rest of the musicians confidently. If someone does give T0NE something with peanut and he goes into anaphylactic shock, Retriviv panics and creates a time loop. T0NE notices right away when there's been a wrinkle in time and makes different decisions to avoid the restaurant he was about to go. Sometimes, this means he still has to leave the band because too many members insist on going to somewhere with too much peanut, but the service drake has vastly improved T0NE's social life.
