Welcome to Dragon Cave! Dragon Cave is an online adoptables game. Collect eggs, raise them to adulthood, and then breed them to create interesting lineages. New dragons are added regularly!
Setsong Dragons wake with the setting of the sun. They can be found hunting during the night, only to vanish into their lairs once the sun begins to rise. Their glossy feathers and scales are a deep purple, but the evening sunlight reflects off of their bodies in a beautiful red-gold shimmer. Setsongs are reclusive dragons, found alone or in small groups, and are fiercely territorial--and loyal, protecting their hatchlings and group just as stubbornly as their hunting grounds. These dragons have a respectable ability to weave magic, but only once the sun has started to set: the daylight weakens their magical powers, and their spells are most potent at night.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
Sadric lives with a group of vampire dragons in a cave overlooking the ocean. While he'll never know for sure how he got there, they say that he was a "failed" vampire. "Failures" always die, but Sadric was an exception: the stubborn egg would neither turn nor perish, only accumulate more holes, so before he was born, he already earned everyone's respect. Now, he watches over the young "successes" with much success. There's only one hatchling in the group at a time, so babysitting is easy. The family is laid-back and doesn't make much effort to create more vampires, but when they do bite eggs, Sadric has the pleasure of eating the dead ones. He's happy with his lot in life, but he's often found staring longingly at the ocean, tail wiggling and feathers ruffling. It's no secret that he wishes to live in water, somehow. The vampires don't mind. Their opinion is that if he does try swimming out and succeeds, great. If he can't manage, that's fine, and they welcome him back any time.
