Lumina Dragons received their names from their highly reflective scales, which—at times—seem to glow. They are vain, always strutting about and preening incessantly; if one of their scales has so much as a scratch or a defect, they’ll remove it. Luckily, their scales grow back quickly, and each new growth is more beautiful than the last. These narcissistic dragons live in small groups and prefer to surround themselves with beauty. The females guard their territory and eggs while the males search for vegetation to eat.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Preexisting is a sort-of wild card. He befriends a lot of people but either switches sides at the drop of an imperfect scale or is too easily sidetracked by his own agenda. Some dragons like him because they find his bumbling and failures endearing. Unlike the actual wild cards in the Districts who are deemed evil or dangerous, Preexisting does have goals beyond "make problems", and his behavior can be predicted. For one, he loves coleoptera grubs in fish skin. A constant goal of his is to get more, and anybody who can obtain both ingredients can reliably get information and other services from him. Law enforcement and the judges panel of Cata Preis find him annoying, and some are convinced he'll never improve in behavior, but he's easy enough to catch and punish when he breaks rules, and in the past, he's even helped them by foiling or providing leads for far worse wrongdoers. Half the time, it's incidental while he's doing something to sate his ego, but it's help nevertheless.
