Pseudo-Wyvern Drakes are a desert-dwelling species with an unusual bipedal body structure as adults. They start out as quadrupedal hatchlings and slowly start walking on their hind legs as they age. As their name suggests, these drakes are often mistaken for wyverns from afar as they ride the desert currents searching for food. A social drake, Pseudo-Wyverns travel in small packs, working, hunting, and raising young together.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Jackdaw is more than a little mischievous. He is drawn to shiny objects, much like the variety of bird he is named after, and will frequently steal trinkets from other dragons' nests. He's quite the skilled, little thief, often stalking his prey for days straight just to study their routine and figure out exactly when the right time is to swoop in. Many believe him to be uncharacteristically smart for a drake, but, in truth, Jackdaw's intelligence is not as high as he may lead others to believe. He can only concentrate on one thing at a time. He will become laser-focused on stealing one or two things from a dragon and completely ignore or even forget about everything else. Comically, dragons he has stolen from will just take their stuff back as soon as he moves on to a new hunt. Jackdaw becomes so focused on stealing something else, that he completely neglects guarding what he has. He also has no sense of organization, so he forgets the various pieces in his collection very easily.
