Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

L'Kalter, like most Royal Blue dragons, is very peaceful by nature. Despite this, he has gained a reputation on the scroll of being a very strong fighter, and is one of it's main defenses. Back when the scroll only had a handful of dragons, not fighting to protect the scroll was not an option. Without protection, the ragtag band of dragons would have been destroyed. Back then, L'Kalter fought because he had to. Now, he only fights when his strength is needed, though he would rather not fight at all.

L'Kalter likes to spend the evenings at a lake near the cave, lost in thought. The first two eggs he had with his mate, L'Kazz, were taken from him by the scroll keeper and abandoned. L'Kalter often wonders about what happened to those two eggs, and wishes that he could have them back, to protect them from the hostile outside world.
