Magma Dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, although they require surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Orange Habanero enjoys pungent, savory food and occasionally travels out of her territory to one of several locations where peppers are grown in large amounts. She will endure the humidity and tingly, uncomfortable magical shield (the latter of which to prevent her from accidentally killing or destroying things with her body) just to obtain a couple of sacks of colorful, spicy peppers and other ingredients that can't be found back at home. She's away from her family for weeks at a time during these trips, not because of long travel time or anything, but because she's obliged to work in exchange for the goods. The other dragons know better than to misbehave during Orange Habanero's absence, since she's large and strong, has decent skill in several elements, and seems to be able to memorize everything, down to the placement of boulders around the territory.
