Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ever the boaster, Bolltio's dream was to become a professional dragon racer, speeding round the tracks with his hatchmates, and dreaming of the day he could compete professionally. Endlessly jealous of the whiptail's speed, Bolltio begged and pleaded until he was allowed to become an apprentice to Ynni Scorpio, the fastest dragon in their cave, who he admired deeply. After months of rigorous training, Bolltio was finally allowed to enter in an amateur race. Unfortunately, the odds were against Bolltio, and as the starting arrow fired, Bolltio came into his magical abilities, causing a powerful wind which whipped around the stadium. To his dismay, this led to him being disqualified from racing, and he returned to the cave, his head bowed with shame. When he returned, he was moved into the Aquarius Clan, where he trained under the watchful eye of Siaman. Bolltio is one of the most powerful magis, but his lack of control and aggressive attitude towards magic have limited his potential.
