Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Harris is extremely curious, especially when it comes to humans. Most dragons consider themselves superior to the fragile beings, but Harris considers humans as equals, and often goes out of his way to be friendly towards them. He is very kind and gentle, always willing to lend a helping hand. He went out of his way to learn the human language, to be able to communicate with both humans and dragons equally. Harris is always on the go, and gladly will speak to any human who wishes to do so no matter what time of day. He relates to humans better than he does dragons, which led to him being reserved when it comes to matters of love, and so has not yet found a mate.
