Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Part of the complicated love triangle between herself, Summer, and Sun, Goldie's no stranger to heartbreak. She fell in love with Sun, but their first child, Summer Sun, had Winamouse, a deadly disease that doomed the hatchling to be frozen in time, or to mature and die. This distressed Goldie greatly, who blamed herself. She wanted no other hatchlings to go through what poor Summer Sun had, so she locked away her heart and dumped Sun. She introduced her friend Summer to him, knowing Summer would care for Sun with all her heart. The wedding, on September 5, 2009, nearly drove Goldie mad. She studied magic day and night, though she never did reach a very high level. She is content with using simple spells, like the one she uses to cook her food.

Recently, she dated Dancer, and accidentally had an egg. Torn with fear that this egg would have Wingamouse as well, she abandoned it outside a cave opening, deciding it was better to never know than to be sure that she had doomed another child.
