Sunrise Dragons are closely related to sunset dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunrise Dragons prefer to live in large groups and enjoy basking in the early morning sun. They are usually most active in the morning, and go to sleep in the early evening.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

SunStripeFlyer is the Sunrise son of Whittany the Stripe and Nighteling the Sunset. Like his kind, he is always up at the crack of dawn and bustling around the caves while the rest of his family are still asleep or about to go to sleep or hoping that the sunrise is a bad dream and that they won't be noticed by either of the enthusiastic Sunrise dragons. SunStripeFyer, unlike Brighteling, the other Sunrise dragon, knows that not everyone keeps his hours and instead of waking his family up, concentrates on preparing breakfast. He gathers greens from Camreth the Earth's garden, hunts and fishes and finally cooks the food with the help of his fiery breath. His talent is appreciated by everyone in his family, as his owner is not much of a cook and the dragons sometimes get tired of raw meat.
