Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Coming to the cave as a lone egg, Valkyrie hatched to suspicion and hostility due to her breed. Being the first of her type in the cave, she had no one to go to, so she ran away to the forest, surviving on a diet of roots and shrubs.  When adulthood dawned she taught herself to hunt, although there were many nights when she curled up hungry and alone in the pouring rain. Upon finding an abandoned terrae egg, Valkyrie tried to pick it up, but realised too late her fangs had pierced the egg's shell. Shocked, she saw the egg's green texture change to a dark brown. Convinced she had killed it, she took it back to her home in a hollow log and abandoned it there. It was to her utmost surprise that she saw a hatchling come out of it, which she brought up into a healthy male. Deciding he needed a better life than what she had, she returned to the cave, forming her own clan which would accept all dragons no matter what breed, although her resentment for those who rejected her has never faded.
