Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Glitter is the son of the Winter Dragons leader Glimmer. As such, he is a very spoiled dragon, with his father showering him with power and glory, boosting his self-righteousness and arrogance.

He is very bratty and believes that because he is the leader's son he deserves anything and everything. If Glitter doesn't get his way he has a violent outburst, usually leading to him getting whatever he wanted in the first place. Dragons try to avoid him at all costs. Well, the sensible ones. Some dragons stick around to pick fights with him or try to earn his alliance. But only Glitter chooses who he will be friends with, and those who oppose him know to never fight against him again.

Glitter enjoys bullying weaker dragons, especially runts and misfits like Flicker. He, along with his also bratty friends, take part in pushing Flicker around for being inbred and pathetic. He laughs at his victims' misfortunes and shows no mercy, even if the dragon pleads for clemency.
